Noosa Open Studios 2024

I’m part of the fabulous Noosa Open Studios art trail again this year, where arty curious people get the chance to chat to artists in their workspaces. I look forward to welcoming visitors between 10am and 4pm on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 August, Sunday 1, Thursday 5, Friday 6, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September.

Pick up a trail guide at Noosa Arts and Crafts, Wallace House, 1 Wallace Drive, Noosaville or Pomona Railway Station Gallery, 10 Station Street, Pomona, and start planning your studio visits of 93 artists along four trails.

Mapping the Pathway opens 20 October

I’m proud to announce that my new solo show Mapping the Pathway opens Friday 20 October and runs until 19 November at the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre.

Each of the 23 works is painted and drawn to provoke the curiosity of the viewer, so they see a possibility awaiting or an adventure already had. While each work is everyday realism, they create wonder of what is beyond.

Whether oils, acrylic, gouache or mixed media, the images hint at something else. More things become possible.

Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre is at 11A Maple Street, Cooroy Qld 4563, open 10-3 Tuesday to Sunday.

Eclectica Art Awards 2022

What a thrill that my work Welcome Home has been declared Overall Exhibition Winner in the Eclectica Art Awards 2022 at the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre. And it sold on opening day too! Eclectica is on show until 15 January 2023.

Noosa Open Studios 1-9 Oct

I’m part of the annual Noosa Open Studios again this year. This year it’s bigger than ever, with 117 artists dotted across 5 trails, making it Australia’s largest open studios art event.

My studio will be open to visitors from 10am-4pm on Sat 1, Sun 2, Thu 6, Fri 8, Sat 8 and Sun 9 October. For more information go to the Noosa Open Studios website. You can pick up a paper guidebook from one of the many galleries in the Noosa district.

Find me on Trail 5, Pomona.

‘Mountain Stories’ opens at the Butter Factory Arts Centre

I’m delighted to be part of ‘Mountain Stories’, a group show from the Outsiders Art Circle, at the Butter Factory Arts Centre in Cooroy.

The Outsiders Art Circle brings a very diverse group of artists together, and our common ground is painting en plein air. The resulting show presents our own individual takes on the beautiful mountains of the Noosa and Sunshine Coast hinterland, with some surprise mountains thrown in.

We formally open at 6pm on Friday 22 July and the show runs until 28 August.

Tall Trees 2021

“Strutting Their Style” will be on show at Tall Trees 2021, held in the beautiful village of Cooran. This annual art event was virtual last year, but this time we’re able to get up close to the many works of art on display in various venues in Cooran’s main street. Opening is Friday night 29 October, and the event will run throughout Saturday 30 and Sunday 31.
